Scenario Planner

$99

The Scenario Planner builds annual ecommerce P&L from 8 fundamental drivers and shows the EBITDA impact of flexing any of them. One-variable and two-variable sensitivity tables show the range, and a tornado ranking tells you which driver moves EBITDA the most. Bear, Base, Bull, and Custom scenarios sit side by side for board and lender conversations.

Works in Excel & Google Sheets

Template includes both versions. One price, no add-ons.

How it works

Every driver carries a Bear, Base, and Bull value; the active scenario picks one set, and the sensitivity and tornado tabs show what happens when you flex them.

  1. Inputs: Year, currency, and the EBITDA tier thresholds used for color-coding
  2. Drivers: Your 8 drivers, new customers per month, orders per customer per year, AOV, gross margin %, CAC, other marketing %, fulfillment per order, and monthly opex, each with Bear, Base, and Bull values
  3. Scenarios: Scenario definitions: Bear, Base, Bull, and a fully editable Custom, each picking one value per driver
  4. Model: The active scenario’s full P&L cascade, from revenue through gross profit, marketing, fulfillment, and opex, to EBITDA
  5. Sensitivity: Eight one-variable tables (plus or minus 30% on each driver) and two two-variable grids, AOV by CAC and gross margin by customers
  6. Tornado: All 8 drivers ranked by EBITDA impact range, your lever-priority list
  7. Comparison: All 4 scenarios side by side, the board-meeting view

Steps to use it

  1. Define your 8 drivers with Bear, Base, and Bull values on Drivers
  2. Confirm scenario picks on Scenarios; Bear/Base/Bull default to driver corner values, Custom is fully editable
  3. Pick the active scenario on Model to see the full P&L cascade
  4. Review Sensitivity for the range each driver creates, then Tornado to see which one matters most
  5. Use Comparison for the side-by-side view across all 4 scenarios

Use Model and Sensitivity for what-if exploration, Tornado to prioritize where to focus capital and attention, and the Drivers/Scenarios/Comparison set for a board or lender pack.
